Former Henry Seriake Dickson has announced plans to unveil the digital membership register of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Dickson, the party’s National Leader, said he would join the National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, for the formal unveiling of the digital platform designed to simplify membership registration for Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.
Okay News reports that the digital register will provide two separate portals; one for Nigerians residing within the country and another for citizens living abroad.
According to the statement, individuals who had previously registered with the party will not need to sign up again, as their existing membership details will be migrated to the new platform.
Dickson noted that the party, which he described as people-driven and not funded by the government, will rely on membership dues, levies and voluntary donations to sustain its activities.
While registration on the platform will remain free, the party encouraged members to contribute through donations and the payment of dues to support its operations.
The former governor also explained that the information required during registration aligns with provisions of the Electoral Act and includes personal details such as name, address, sex, date of birth, place of residence, state, local government area, ward and polling unit.
Other required information includes the National Identification Number (NIN), voter’s card number and a passport photograph.
He added that the completed digital register will be compiled and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) within the timeline stipulated by law.
Dickson called on Nigerians who believe in democracy, transparency and national renewal to register in their respective wards and support what he described as a growing democratic movement aimed at building a stronger and more inclusive country.
