Brazilian veteran Thiago Silva has officially arrived in Oporto to begin his tenure with FC Porto following the successful completion of his transfer.

The move marks a significant return to high-level European competition for the experienced center-back after weeks of intense negotiations between the relevant parties.

Okay News reports that Silva had designated the Portuguese giants as his top priority throughout the transfer window. The finalization of the deal was facilitated by Gol International, with prominent agents Pini Zahavi and Paulo Tonietto leading the discussions that eventually secured the player’s switch to the Estádio do Dragão.

The arrival of the former Chelsea and PSG star is expected to provide a substantial boost to Porto’s defensive lineup as they pursue domestic titles and progress in European competitions.
