Ex-NBA President Akpata Wins Labour Party Governorship Ticket in Edo

Former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olumide Akpata, has emerged victorious in the Labour Party governorship primary election held in Edo State.

Akpata clinched the victory after garnering a total of 316 votes during the exercise conducted at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, Airport Road in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.

Akpata’s triumph follows his earlier declaration of interest in contesting the Edo State governorship race under the platform of the Labour Party.
