Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has presented the 2017 appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly.

 

Here are the breakdown of the budget:

Oil : N1.985tn

Non-oil: N1.73tn

Independent: N807bn

Recoveries: N565bn

Other Sources: N210.9bn

N419bn – Statutory Transfers

N1.66tn – Debt Service

N2.9tn – Non-Debt Recurrent Exp

N2.24tn – Capital Exp

Capital provisions in the 2017 budget is N2.24tn

Capital expenditure allocation:

Defence, N140bn;

Water resouces N85bn;

Interior N63bn;

Education N58bn;

UBE commission N92bn;

FCT N37bn;
