The Football Association has fined Manchester City £50,000 for failing to control their players in their shock FA Cup defeat at Wigan.

City players surrounded referee Anthony Taylor following the sending-off of Fabian Delph.

“Manchester City have been fined £50,000 after admitting a charge of failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

“The incident took place in their Emirates FA Cup tie against Wigan Athletic last month,” a statement on the FA website read.

Delph was sent off for a challenge on Max Power. After the final whistle, there were also ugly scenes. City striker, Sergio Aguero, was caught on camera punching a Wigan supporter.
