A man who was dressed as Batman, was detained by police after shooting and killing a man outside a strip club, police in Florida said.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said that they have questioned 31-year-old Durrell Jones, in connection with the killing of 27-year-old Dominic Orr.
According to the police investigation, shots were fired outside the Atlantis Gentlemen’s Club, which is located at 3800 U.S. 41 N., around 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, found Orr with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses at the scene said that Orr and Jones, had an argument in the parking lot and they pulled out guns. Orr was hit, and Jones, who was dressed as Batman, ran away from the scene.
Jones has not been charged as they believe the shooting has been a case of self-defense.
