In a remarkable display of dominance, the Falconets of Nigeria triumphed over their Togolese counterparts with a resounding 6-0 victory at the ongoing WAFU B women’s U-20 championship.

The electrifying match took place at the renowned Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday, leaving spectators in awe of the Falconets’ outstanding performance.

The Nigerian squad wasted no time in making their mark on the game. Bello Aminat initiated the onslaught in the 11th minute with a glancing header from a well-executed corner kick.

The early goal set the tone for what would become an unstoppable offensive onslaught.

Just a minute later, Sebastien Flourish showcased her aerial prowess, leaping high to head home from a rebound off Taiwo Afolabi’s powerful shot.

The Togolese defense struggled to contain the Nigerian attack as Esther Onyenezide skillfully converted a penalty in the 30th minute, sending the Togolese goalkeeper the wrong way and securing the third goal for her team.

Bello Aminat continued her remarkable performance in the 54th minute, blasting a smashing shot through the legs of the Togolese goalkeeper to secure her second goal of the match.

The relentless assault continued as Taye Ajakaye, a formidable defender, rose highest to meet a precision corner kick and nodded the ball into the net, making it five goals for the Falconets.

Sebastien Flourish wrapped up the game in style with a breathtaking strike, hammering the ball into the top right corner of the post for her second goal of the match and the team’s sixth.

The Falconets’ exceptional teamwork and skill were on full display, leaving both fans and critics astounded by their dominant performance.

This remarkable victory follows the Falconets’ extraordinary run in the group stage, where they demolished Niger 7-0 in their first game.

With the resounding win against Togo, the Falconets have secured their spot in the tournament’s semi-finals, marking them as formidable contenders for the championship title.

Looking ahead, the Falconets are set to face Burkina Faso at the prestigious Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
