FAYEMI-FAYOSE1-300x200

The former and the incumbent governors of the Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Ayodele Fayose greeted Christians with Christmas.

Ayodele Fayose, has called on the residents of the Ekiti to use the Christmas period to reflect on the past, present and the future of the state and to think of how they could counterpart the attempts of the administration to make it better.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, Fayose also counselled all and sundry to see Jesus Christ as the saviour of mankind, the author and finisher of our faith.

According to him, if Christ had not been born, no one knew “what would have become of our sins which He has redeemed.”

The governor asked for the collaboration of the Ekiti people as he continued to meet their yearnings which he said he was determined to maintain in his government.

He warned the residents to continue to pray for his government, saying that it is only through that our Lord Jesus Christ can solve all the problems rooted by the current administration.

However, the ex-governor of the State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has greeted Christians in Nigeria for witnessing yet another Christmas.
He warned them to continue to live peacefully in love and harmony with one another and with believers of other religions.
In a Christmas message signed by his media aide, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, Fayemi stated that God used the birth of Jesus Christ to pass the message of peace and love to the world.

He said: “Christmas is a season to give and expect little in return. A time to preach peace and love. A time to forgive, be more united and forge ahead in the crucial task of building a very strong and vibrant nation.”

Fayemi added that being alive to witness another Christmas was a privilege, judging by the prevailing circumstances in the nation in particular and the world at large. This, he said, called for celebration.

He, meanwhile, advised Christians to celebrate in moderation and to devote much time to gratitude God for His mercies and to reflect on the developmental problems in Nigeria with a view to seeking God’s interference.
