Twenty four hours after the Code of Conduct Tribunal ruled that it was going to go ahead with the false assets declaration case involving senate president Bukola Saraki, the lawmaker has suffered another defeat at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The court on Friday struck out Saraki’s bid to stop his arrest, prosecution and trial in Abuja.

Saraki’s previous attempts at stalling the trial have all failed with unfavourable judgements from the high Court to the appeal court, and another appeal at the Supreme Court still pending. The latest case which was filed in Lagos unlike the other ones in Abuja, was dismissed by Justice Ibrahim Buba who said the court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case.
