President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has approved with immediate effect the appointment of former General Manager and Chief Risk Officer at the Bank of Industry (BoI), Dr Ezekiel Oseni, as the acting Managing Director of the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND).

This is contained in a letter signed by Mr Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, on Wednesday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

“Oseni’s appointment which takes immediate effect is made under a management agreement between the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Industry (BoI),” the permanent secretary noted in the statement.

Isa-Dutse said the new acting MD, had the mandate among others to reposition the organisation and to ensure that all outstanding indebtedness were cleared.
