The federal government (FG) has approved the release of N20bn for the rehabilitation of the Ikorodu-Sagamu expressway.

This was disclosed on Wednesday by the minister of information, Lai Mohammed.

Speaking to newsmen after the completion of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, he said the decision to release the fund is to significantly reduce incidences of vehicular accidents on the route.

The weekly meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. The president is expected to be in Lagos for a two-day visit.
