The Federal Government of Nigeria will soon introduce National School Feeding programme, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Arc. Sonny Echono has stated.

Speaking at a Press Briefing to commemorate the World Food Day Celebration in Abuja, he said the programme is aimed at enhancing and sensitising school enrolment, address poverty, malnutrition and stunted growth.

He also stressed the need to create business opportunities in the rural areas and stimulate the growth of micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), adding that this would boost the incomes of farmers.
