FG warns Nigerians applying for jobs, schools in Northern Cyprus

By Okay News

The Federal Government has warned Nigerians against the actions of some individuals it has referred to as dishonest elements who pose as agents and dupe gullible Nigerians into thinking that Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus offers simple access to “greener pastures” for studies and employment opportunities.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these unpatriotic individuals’ actions have recently caused an alarming flood of Nigerians into the region okaynews.com reports.

It said that this had the unanticipated effect of increasing the number of consular cases involving young Nigerians who were stuck in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Therefore, it urged the general public to be on the lookout for phony brokers who are marketing admissions and the presence of dubious employment prospects in the region in Nigeria or elsewhere.

The statement recommended students, their parents, and guardians to research any academic institution thoroughly before submitting an application for admission.

Additionally, it warned Nigerians against believing false job advertisements for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
