Dr. Kayode Fayemi has been sworn-in as new governor of Governor of Ekiti State.

The governor was sworn in at about 12:20, on Tuesday afternoon, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Present at the ceremony were Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives COngress (APC), Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi Ojaja II, among many dignitaries at the event.

Fayemi is to serve as the governor of Ekiti for a single-term of four years having earlier served initially for four years between the year 2010 and 2014.
