Five deputy comptroller-generals of customs have voluntarily retired from the service of the Nigeria Customs Service. They include DCG Atte, A. J; DCG Musa T. A; DCG Mera I. M; DCG Nwosu A. C and DCG Adewuyi A. A.

In a letter which they cosigned on Thursday 29th October, the five officials said they “unanimously decided to voluntarily retire”.

They thanked the President for the opportunity to serve. However they did not state the reason for the retirement.

The Nigeria Customs Service is headed by the Comptroller-General and assisted by six (6) Deputy Comptroller-generals who head the following departments:
Finance Administration and Technical Service; Tariff & Trade; Enforcement, Investigation, and Inspection; Strategic Research & Policy; Human Resource Development; and Excise, FTZ and Industrial Incentives.
