Awoniyi-Hungary-June2015

Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice, as Nigeria’s U-20 side defeated Hungary 2-0 to qualify for the round of 16, at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

The Flying Eagles needed a win or a draw to progress and promptly took charge of the game played at the Stadium Taranaki.

As a result, Manu Garba’s boys will now take on European champions, Germany on June 11, 2015 at the Christ-Church Stadium.

Nigeria is seeking to win the age group competition for the first time at this level.
