A Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out the N10 billion suit by ex-Benue state governor Gabriel Suswam contesting his long detention by Nigeria the Department of State Services (DSS).

The ex-governor had, through his lawyer, Joseph Daudu (SAN), sued the DSS, its Director-General, Lawal Daura, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami for N10bn for violating his fundamental human rights.

Daudu informed the court that Suswan has been released by the DSS and is currently under instruction by doctors to be on bed rest.
