Former Governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba is back to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Top APC chieftains in the South-West on Sunday met to receive Osoba at his residence in Lagos.

Present were former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Ogun State, Bisi Akande, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Oluranti Adebule, who represented the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Osoba left the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and alongside others, rejuvenated the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the platform upon which his supporters contested in the 2015 general elections.

Osoba has governed Ogun State twice.

He was elected on SDP platform and was in office from January 1992 until November 1993 when he and others were removed from office by General Sani Abacha.

In 1999, he was elected again as Governor of Ogun State on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
