Abuja, Nigeria – Former lawmaker Philip Tanimu Aduda has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing the ongoing crisis within the party.
Okay News reports that Aduda conveyed his decision in a resignation letter dated March 17, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the party in Karu Ward, Abuja.
In the letter, the former senator stated that his resignation takes immediate effect and is motivated by the internal challenges currently facing the opposition party.
Aduda also expressed appreciation to the PDP for the opportunity to serve the country in various elective capacities during his political career.
The politician previously represented the Federal Capital Territory in the Nigerian Senate, serving in the 7th, 8th and 9th National Assemblies.
