FUTO disowns fake admission letters issued by fraudsters

The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, has distanced itself from issuing purported admission letters to unsuspecting admission seekers.

In a statement seen by okaynews.com, made available by the institution on Thursday, parents, guardians, candidates and members of the public were advised to disown same, noting that it was the hand-work of fraudsters.

The statement read

“Disclaimer : Fake Admission Letters

- Advertisement -

“It has come to the notice of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA, that some fraudulent individuals are issuing fake letters of admission to unwary admission seekers and collecting huge sums of money from them. ( A copy of one of such fake letters is attached to this notice)
FUTA hereby dissociates itself from the fake letters and bogus admission offers.

“Members of the general public, particularly candidates and their sponsors, are hereby enjoined not to allow themselves to be duped through such patently fraudulent transactions.

“This notice serves as a disclaimer.
