Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano has ordered the payment of NECO registration fess for students of public schools in the state.

Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, confirmed this development in a statement on Monday.

He disclosed that the sum of N424,952,000 at N11,000 per head will be payed for the total number of 38,632 students as registration fees.

Garba also stated in the statement that the measure is also part of the administration’s avowed commitment to ensuring that the less-privileged enjoy better education.

However, the governor through the commission assured that the state government will not relent in its determination to bequeathing the best of education to its citizens at all levels.
