The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Mobilisation Committee for southwest, Prince Buruji Kashamu has sure had it good this year. Remember most of us started paying attention to the Prince when Obasanjo called him out and asked he should be banned from the party because he has a drug trafficking case to answer in America and he can’t be in the same party with such a man? Well, Kashamu also had issues with former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel but that’s a forgotten issue now, because it was settled, shortly after Gbenga Daniel joined PDP again.

Gbenga Daniel, Prince Kashamu and Mrs Nike Oriola are the three PDP candidates contesting for PDP’s, Ogun East senatorial ticket, but the party chairman announced today that the former Governor has stepped down from the race and had written him an official letter informing him about his decision. Many tongues have been waging that, without any doubts, Prince Kashamu will be winning the party’s ticket and is most likely to win in 2015 when he contests with APC and SDP candidates.

And truly is alleged drug trafficking case has had little or no impact on his political career. So you see why I called it a good year for him?
