German legend, Lothar Matthaus, has revealed that he is a fan of Arsenal and Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi.
While previewing the Champions League between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, Matthaus wrote for The Sun:
“You only have to look at Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud to see that, while I also like Alex Iwobi.
“I like watching them offensively but they are so suspect defensively, despite Shkodran Mustafi, who is a very solid and important player.
“In Munich, I think Arsenal have to leave Giroud on the bench and play Sanchez through the middle.
“Giroud is really just a box player but Munich will play on the front foot and have the ball most of the time.”
