Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has said Salisu Yusuf who is currently in the midst of a bribery scandal, is a victim of the situation.

Salisu Yusuf was implicated in a sting operation by controversial Ghanaian journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The video showed Yusuf who is in charge of the Super Eagles home-based team and an assistant to Gernot Rohr accepting bribe to select a player in his team during the African Nations Championship in Morocco.

Gernot Rohr has argued however that Yusuf was just a victim of people who “just want to entrap” others. He said;

“I saw the video, and I saw what happened, from my experience, Salisu is an honest man.

“Those people just want to make trouble, this is people just trying to catch some people. “Salisu does not need that money, he is a victim of this situation.”
