Ghana’s Nana Akufo-Addo elected as new chairman of ECOWAS

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Akufo-Addo was chosen by at the 57th Extraordinary session of the ECOWAS heads of state and government held in Niamey, capital of Niger Republic.
