Godwin Obaseki Sworn in as Governor of Edo State

Godwin Obaseki has been sworn in as the fifth civil Governor of Edo State.

Obaseki was sworn in by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Cromwell Idahosa, after taking the oath of office at about 12:20pm, amidst jubilation and administration from a large crowd of supporters.

The Deputy Governor, Philip Shuaibu, took his oath of office earlier at about 12pm.
