Goodluck Jonathan’s Uncle Regains Freedom From Kidnappers in Bayelsa

Inegite Jonathan, uncle and foster father to Nigeria’s ex President Goodluck Jonathan has regained his freedom from kidnappers.

The 72 year old lecturer was abducted by armed gunmen in Bayelsa on February 17.

Asinim Butswat, spokesman for the Bayelsa Police Command, confirmed the development on Tuesday, but said he could not provide details immediately.

“The victim has been released and reunited with his family but I am yet to get the detail,” Mr. Butswat said.

He has already undergone medical examination at the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa
