Google on Thursday announced that it has added three new features to the company’s Gmail-based next-gen email client for the web and mobile.

The update now gives you a better way to keep track of events, newsletters, and links.

“Starting today, you’ll discover three new experiences in Inbox – streamlined events, glanceable newsletters and saved links – that help you better keep track of things that matter to you and feel more in control,” Google wrote in a blog post.

The new Save to Inbox feature comes as a part of the latest app update and in simple words is just like the Pocket app where you save links to articles or other content to which you want to return later.

It should also now be easier to preview newsletters and click through to the articles that interest you most. Plus, once you scan a newsletter, Inbox will minimize it to save space.

With this new feature, you can both save links to Inbox and share them with others. On mobile, you can use the OS’s built-in sharing dialog to save and share links, but Inbox will also notice that you have copied a link to your clipboard and will automatically pop up a little icon over the “+” button to let you perform the same tasks.

The company also launched a Chrome extension that lets you save and share a link from anywhere on the web (and if you use multiple email accounts, the extensions will let you choose which one you want to use).

Users can now stay on top of calendar events and newsletters and even save links of articles they want to read at a later time.

This new update is part of Google’s plan to make Inbox more resourceful as the Mountain View California Company is aware of how a lot of people send emails to themselves to save links.
