Google has launched Nano Banana Pro, a next-generation image creation and editing model powered by the advanced reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3 Pro.

Okay News reports that the new system is designed to give creators, students, and enterprises unprecedented control in generating high-fidelity visuals.

The company described Nano Banana Pro as the evolution of its earlier Nano Banana model, combining cutting-edge intelligence with creative precision.

“Nano Banana Pro is the best model for creating images with correctly rendered and legible text directly in the image, whether you’re looking for a short tagline, or a long paragraph,” said Naina Raisinghani, Product Manager at Google DeepMind.

The launch arrives at a time of fast-growing global interest in creative AI tools, with Nigeria standing out as one of the most active markets. Google revealed that search interest in “AI for studying” has surged by more than 200%, while “AI for graphic design” ranks among the country’s top AI-related queries — highlighting strong demand for accessible, high-quality creative technology.

A Major Step Forward in Intelligent Creativity

Google says Nano Banana Pro introduces four key advancements that push AI-generated visuals into a new era:

  1. Factual Visuals and Infographics
Built on Gemini 3’s deep reasoning, the model taps into Google Search’s vast knowledge base. Instead of only generating aesthetic images, it can produce accurate, well-structured infographics, diagrams, recipe visuals, sports data breakdowns, and other content-rich imagery.
  2. Crystal-Clear Text in Images
Traditional AI models often struggle with legible text. Nano Banana Pro changes that. It can embed clean, correctly-spelled, multi-language text in posters, ads, mockups, and educational graphics — giving designers production-ready results.
  3. Stable Style and Multi-Image Blending
Users can blend up to 14 reference images to maintain consistent branding, characters, styles, or scenes across complex projects. This makes it easier for professionals to create campaign-ready visual packs.
  4. Precision Editing and 4K Control
The model enables deep localized edits: changing camera angles, lighting conditions (such as converting day scenes to night), focus adjustments, and more. Final outputs can be generated in 2K and 4K, suitable for any digital platform.

Strengthening Trust With Transparent AI

In line with growing global concerns about deepfakes, Google is rolling out new safeguards:

  • AI Verification Tool:
Users can upload any image into the Gemini app and ask whether it was generated by Google AI. The system detects this through its invisible SynthID watermark.
  • Updated Watermark Policy:
Google is removing the visible Gemini sparkle watermark for Ultra-tier Gemini app subscribers, while keeping SynthID embedded invisibly for responsible tracing.

Global Rollout Begins Today

Google says Nano Banana Pro is now available worldwide:

  • Consumers:
Accessible through the Gemini app under the Thinking model. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers will enjoy higher usage allowances.
  • Businesses:
Integrated into Google Ads, Google Slides, and Google Vids, enabling streamlined creative workflows.
  • Developers:
Available through the Gemini API and Vertex AI, offering scalable image generation for enterprise-grade applications.
