Gov. Obiano Wins APGA Primary Election

Governor Willie Obiano on Tuesday won the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ticket to contest for the November 18, 2017 governorship election.

His victory was announced by the returning officer of the primary election, Alhaji Sani Shinkafi.

He said the incumbent won 1,070 votes of the 1,092 votes cast at the special congress/primary election which held in Awka.

The governor thanked the delegates for electing him, promising to continue to work hard for the party.

With the victory, the governor is the second confirmed candidate for the election after the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) confirmed Chief Godwin Ezeemo as its flagbearer.
