Elijah Ibrahim of Father Connell had an opportunity to further reduce the margin but missed one of his free throws.

Despite the late surge from their opponents, FCT managed to hold on for a well-deserved triumph in a fiercely contested encounter.

Joshua Augustine of FCT was recognized as the most valuable player of the finals, contributing 14 points and 13 rebounds to his team’s success. Captain Sambo Abraham also played a crucial role, adding 11 points and 6 rebounds.

In the girls’ final, Topfield Schools emerged victorious after a captivating battle against Government Secondary School, Karu, FCT, with a final score of 53-50.

The game remained fiercely contested throughout, with FCT overcoming a 5-point deficit to level the score at 48-48 in the fourth quarter.

However, it was Topfield who showcased their composure and determination, ultimately clinching their first-ever victory in the Milo Basketball Championship.

Sekinat Oloyede proved to be the hero for Topfield, making two clutch throws and contributing 12 points to the game.

Uchechi Dikeocha was named the most valuable player in the girls’ category for her outstanding performance, scoring 20 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, providing 8 assists, and securing 4 steals.

Deborah Chibuike of FCT also displayed an impressive double-double performance with 16 points and 15 rebounds, but unfortunately, it was not enough to secure the victory for her team.

Adding to the excitement, Nestle introduced diversity and inclusion to the Finals for the first time ever.

In a significant step towards promoting equality, a game was organized during halftime of the boys’ final, providing a platform for inclusion and celebrating the spirit of basketball.

The 23rd MILO Basketball Championship Finale showcased the immense talent and competitive spirit of young athletes, leaving the audience in awe of their skills and determination.
