Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina

Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari has presented a budget of N111.4 billion for the year 2016, stressing that the budget would go a long way in developing the state.

The budget was tagged “Budget of Restoration of Hope.”

The higher percentage of N72.7 billion would be for capital expenditure while N38.7 billion would be for recurrent expenditure.

Farmers, according to the governor, would be well catered for in the fiscal document, as it promises subsidy on fertiliser and total support for irrigation farmers, amongst other agricultural benefits.

On food supply or water, the governor disclosed that he would rehabilitate Malumfashi/Kankara and Ajiwa regional water supply facility.

According to the governor, education, health, agriculture, water resources and roads would be addressed in the new budget.
