Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba has directed the state-owned university in Jalingo, to suspend all employments it carried out from May 29, 2015 to date.
This is contained in letter with reference number MOE/S/34/169 dated March 22, signed by one Bala Fwadu, for the state Commissioner for Education.

The letter, addressed to the Registrar, Taraba State University, and obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday, indicated that the directive was with immediate effect.

The contents of the letter read in part, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku, has directed that all employment of staff in the University from 29th May, 2015 to date have been suspended.’’

NAN gathered that the suspension has affected one of the university’s renowned senior lecturers, Dr Ibrahim Jalo, who was ordered in a letter by the institution on April 1, to hand over all the university’s properties in his possession.
