ABUJA, Nigeria – Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on Monday attended the funeral prayer of his former Director General of Protocol and Liaison Officer, Shamsudeen S. Ahmed, popularly known as “Kala”, at the National Mosque in Abuja.
Okay News reports that Governor Radda joined family members, government officials, friends and other mourners in offering prayers for the late aide, who died in Abuja after serving as the Governor’s Liaison Officer at the Katsina State Government Liaison Office in the Federal Capital Territory.
The governor prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family and loved ones during the difficult period.
Following Ahmed’s death, Governor Radda described him as a committed public servant whose dedication and loyalty to the state stood out throughout his years in government. He said the late official discharged his responsibilities with humility, diligence and professionalism.
“Shamsudeen served the state with commitment and humility. He carried out his duties with diligence and loyalty. We will miss his service to Katsina State,” the governor said in an earlier condolence message.
On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, Governor Radda extended condolences to Ahmed’s family, friends and colleagues, while praying that Allah grants them the strength to bear the loss.
