Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Malami as General Manager of Sokoto Agricultural Development Programme.
A statement issued in Sokoto on Wednesday and signed by the Head of the state Civil Service, Dr Buhari Kware, said that the appointment took effect from Aug.19.
”By this appointment, you will enjoy salary, allowances and other fringe benefits in accordance with the condition of service attached to this office,” the statement said.
The statement also said that in his response, Malami commended the governor for the gesture and described the appointment as a morale booster.
He promised to live above board in the discharge of his responsibilities.
Malami said: ”The agency will work tirelessly to ensure the success of all the agricultural policies and programmes of the state government.
”This is also crucial in boosting food production and ensuring sustainable food security.”
