Governor Udom Emmanuel Gives Super Eagles Cash Reward To Beat Algeria

Akwa Ibom Governor has given the Super Eagles an undisclosed sum of money for them to beat Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo on Saturday.

The Governor addressed the team at the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and urged them to fly the country’s flag high.

“I pray for you people, you will win. And I know you will win,” he told the players and officials.

“Go and represent Nigeria and bring out the best in you tomorrow.”

He further informed them he has handed their cash to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He gave them a gift of 10 million Naira when they defeated Tanzania 1-0 in an AFCON qualifier in September.
