Guardiola ‘To Include’ Nigerian Starlet in Aubameyang’s Bid

By Gbolahan Adeyemi

Manchester City transfer news includes the latest on the club’s hunt for one of Europe’s hottest properties.

Pep Guardiola is willing to include Kelechi Iheanacho in a player-plus-cash bid for Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang , according to reports.

The 27-year-old is on course for his best goalscoring season after netting 35 goals in just 42 games for the Bundesliga giants.

The Gabon international previously revealed that his father had held talks with City over a move last summer, but it ultimately came to nothing.

According to allnigeriasoccer.com , Guardiola plans to reignite that pursuit to land the £60m-rated strilker.

City currently have three centre forwards on their books – Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Kelechi Iheanacho.

And the report claims that Guardiola is willing to dispense with the Nigerian to make room for Aubameyang.

After a bright autumn, Iheanacho has not started a game for City since the 2-1 win over Burnley on January 2.

The 20-year-old has scored seven goals this season and has also been linked with a move to both Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen.

In other transfer news, Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Samir Nasri on a permanent basis – if City lower their asking price.

The Frenchman, who has two years left on his contract at City, has caught the eye on loan at Jorge Sampaoli’s side this season.

And, according to Estadio Deportivo , Sevilla want the Blues to lower their £16m asking price to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent basis.

Nasri has been directly involved in six goals since joining the La Liga giants on loan and set up Wissam Ben Yedder’s winner against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
