Unknown gunmen have kidnapped five pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG, disclosed this on Friday while speaking at the Redeemed Camp along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
He said that the pastors were on their way to attend the church’s ministers’ conference in Lagos ahead of the annual Holy Ghost Convention which begins on Monday.
Adeboye revealed that the kidnap took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.
He then called on the church congregation to pray for the release of the abductees.
In his words: “As a father, how do you think I should feel to hear that five of my children have been kidnapped while on their way to attend the Ministers Conference?,” he asked.
