The assistant Inspector General of police, (AIG) Bala Hassan and Commissioner of Police Lagos State command were at the school at about 10am today to commence investigation that would help in the girls’ rescue.

Personnel of Mobile Police Squadron 22 have been deployed to the area to commence ‘combing’ of the area.

An helicopter was an aerial surveillance of the vicinity of the school.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, left with the helicopter at 1pm.

Some of the parents in broken voices and teary eyes also gathered to pray for the safe return of the abducted pupils.

Many of the parents blamed the school authorities for not providing adequate security within the boarding area.

A parent said the authorities concentrated security at the entrance while there was none within the hostel area.
