Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has reacted to reports of suffering from mental illness.

Days about, a video of the actor walking on the streets looking deranged hit the internet, fuelling rumours he was mentally challenged.

Okay.ng had reported that his colleague, Shan George, refuted the rumour, saying he was fine. She shared a video of the actor on set with a few fellow movie stars.

Another movie star, Adanma Luke, however, disagreed with Shan and insisted that Hanks was not fine.

While reacting to the rumours, he said: “I want you all to know that my love for Nigeria is real and it is from the most High God. But those who hate me can come out to my face.

“Stop writing crap about me. If your family doesn’t have respect for Nigeria, then you better go to Jesus Christ for deliverance. Just leave me alone, please. I just want you to know that today is the 18th of November 2022 and I’m speaking live from my caban.

“Don’t forget it, this is not an old video, this is fresh from the heavens above to the earth below. Find Jesus and leave me alone.”

The actor had in the past been a subject of much speculations and rumours which turned out false. Anuku was in 2015 accused of contracting HIV, a rumour which he refuted.
