“I feel like a loaded gun but I have to wait for my chance in the first team. I am at my dream club and I want to fight for my place.” – Memphis Depay

The Netherlands international has found game time hard to come by under Jose Mourinho, but maintains that he is happy with life at Old Trafford.

Memphis Depay insists he is content with life at Manchester United despite a lack of game time so far this season.

The Netherlands international struggled in his first year at Old Trafford after a26m move in the summer of 2015, scoring just two goals and recording no assists in 29 Premier League appearances.

And despite playing only 12 minutes in the top flight this term, Memphis is happy to remain patient and wait for an opportunity.

“[Jose Mourinho] has faith in me,”the 22-year-old told Dutch publication Metro. “He told me so.

“I feel like a loaded gun but I have to wait for my chance in the first team. I am at my dream club and I want to fight for my place.”

A 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Sunday leaves United in sixth place in the Premier League table after seven matches.
