Distressed Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has said that she is not back to work because she is still recuperating.

The actress who revealed some months back that she successfully had a fibroid surgery was disclosed to have been seriously ill by her colleague, Tonto Dikeh.

Although, she had stressed in the past that her condition is not as bad as her concerned fans perceive, the actress told Saturday Beats in a new interview that she is not back to work because she is still recuperating.

“I am recuperating; I am not back to work. I need to be strong enough before I get to work.”

Recalling when she was seriously incapacitated due to the terrible illness, she said that she always knew she would survive.

Halima Abubakar took the opportunity to thank those who supported her during her critically ill days.

“I really thank my fans, their prayers helped a lot. I just thank everybody who was there for me. I also want to use this opportunity to thank the first lady of Kogi State. God should just bless her”
