Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has publicly expressed uncertainty regarding his chances of securing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Okay News reports that Obi shared these thoughts in a recent video message addressed to his followers.

Responding to questions about his political future, he acknowledged the unpredictable nature of Nigerian politics, stating, “I cannot be certain. What matters is that we are committed to a cause.”

He emphasized that despite reported threats and the lack of immediate rewards, he remains deeply focused on his overarching political goals.

The former Labour Party standard-bearer also took the opportunity to praise his supporters for their continued loyalty and resilience.

He highlighted the inherent difficulties of playing opposition politics in Nigeria and openly acknowledged the fragile nature of political alliances, noting the very real possibility that current political allies might abandon the movement as the election draws closer.
