Lagos, NIGERIA — Big Brother Naija star Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has addressed her current relationship status and her recent return to Nigeria following a stint in the United Kingdom.
In an interview published on Saturday, April 18, 2026, the reality television personality and entrepreneur stated that she remains single because she has yet to meet a partner who makes her want to change her status.
Okay News reports that Tacha dismissed rumors that she returned to Nigeria due to the high cost of living in London, clarified that her move back home was strategically timed to coincide with her Guinness World Record attempts.
Tacha achieved a historic milestone in November 2025, becoming the first African to break two Guinness World Records for cosmetic makeovers in a single day. She successfully completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours during the Tacha Beauty Festival held in Lagos. She noted that while she initially planned to attempt the records in London, she chose to do so in Nigeria to empower local youth and prove the resilience of Nigerian women.
Reflecting on her growth since her disqualification from the 2019 edition of Big Brother Naija, Tacha described the event as a turning point that pushed her to achieve global recognition. She stated that her personality is often misunderstood based on the 10 percent shown on reality television and emphasized that she has moved past the stigma of the show to build a successful brand.
The entrepreneur also announced the upcoming launch of her cosmetic line, Tacha Beauty, scheduled for September 2026. Alongside the product line, she is developing the Tacha Beauty Academy, an initiative aimed at providing vocational skills and empowerment to young men and women in Nigeria.
Tacha concluded by highlighting her focus on content creation and global brand influencing, noting that her career continues to expand across different countries despite her primary residence remaining in Lagos.
