Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has emphasized that leadership by example is key to addressing Nigeria’s challenges.
During a live X Space on Sunday, Obi recounted a personal story from his time as Anambra governor.
He revealed that while travelling on British Airways, he found a plane toilet in a terrible state. Unlike others who walked away, Obi cleaned it himself, saying leaders should act responsibly even in small matters.
Obi used the story to highlight the importance of discipline, accountability, and hands-on leadership.
Obi added that his practical approach and experience in governance have prepared him to tackle Nigeria’s economic and security issues if given the chance.
