I Did Not Slump at Adamawa IDP Camp – Aisha Al-Hassan

The Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Jumai Al-Hassan has debunked the report that she collapsed during her two days visit to the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The Women Minister who expressed shock at the report said it was false. Speaking through her director of information, Mallam Hassan Dodo, the minister said that she had gone to visit the IDP’s camp as instructed by President Muhammadu Buhari to inspect the stores where the federal government had bought provisions for the IDPs as well as to ensure that they were well taken care of.

She said, “When I went into the stores to inspect the items, it was quite stuffy and I had to sit down.

I even spoke to some press men after the inspection. I am shocked that it was reported that I slumped.” “I don’t know why the media will report something so false.” She said that after the visit, she had gone to the government house to hold a town hall meeting with some women before finally leaving the state.
