Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, fondly remembered as Ovularia from the 80s TV sitcom, ‘The New Masquerade,’ has died at the age of 82.

Her death occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, surrounded by loved ones.

A statement issued by the Evoeme Emekalam family expressed their profound grief and announced the sad news to the public. It read: “Friends, fans, colleagues, the family of the legendary actress, Elizabeth Lizzy ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme, would like to notify the public, all those who loved her and her work in ‘The New Masquerade,’ of her passing.”

The statement continued, “Elizabeth ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme will be dearly missed and was extremely loved by her family and also by you, her fans.”

The family extended their gratitude to all for the overwhelming support and requested privacy during this challenging time. They concluded, “God bless you all and may our dear Elizabeth ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme rest in perfect peace, now and always.”
