IGP Idris Replaces Plateau State Police Commissioner After Killings

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has replaced the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Andie Undie with Bala Ciroma.

This is following the recent attacks that led to killing of scores of people in some villages of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area and the skirmishes along Anguldi in Jos South Local Government Area of the State.

Ciroma was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) FCT Abuja.

According to a press statement issued by the Plateau Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mathias Terna Tyopev, Ciroma was one time Head of Operations, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and has worked in all six geopolitical zones of the country and in all departments in the Nigerian Police Force.

The statement noted that the Yobe state born CP, graduated from University of Maiduguri in 1988 and joined the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent police on the 3rd of March 1990.
