Ijaw Youths to Meet On Thursday Over Renewed Militancy

Ijaw youths under the auspices of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Worldwide, will converge on Warri, Delta State, Thursday, for a summit on the ongoing bombings in the creeks of Delta state and parts of Niger Delta by the Niger-Delta Avengers, NDA, and take a collective position.

Spokesperson of the group, Mr. Eric Omare, confirmed on Sunday, that leading Niger Delta activists, including Mr. Tony Uranta, Ann-Kio Briggs and Dr. Bello Oboko would be guest speakers.

“The conference would mark the conclusion of the month long remembrance activities of late Niger Delta hero, Major Jasper Adaka Boro with the theme: ‘’The Ideals of Adaka Boro and Renewed Militancy in the Niger Delta Region: The way forward,” he said.
