President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience has said that she was chosen as Nigeria’s First lady because she’s educated.

Mrs Jonathan also accused the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari of failing to carry women along when he was Head of State.

The First Lady stated this on Tuesday, March 24, during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally in Akure, Ondo State.

“Majority of the people of Ondo are educated and I believe you know the importance of education because without education there is no future,” Mrs Jonathan said.

“Our children are our hope and that’s why Jonathan said the children should be made to be the leaders of today. We should thank God for the administration of Goodluck and the PDP,” she added.

“If somebody is talking and you are not educated, can you be there? If Hilary Clinton is talking and you are not educated, can you be there? As Mimiko (governor of Ondo) is there, without education can he be there? As I am standing before you, if I am not educated, will they CHOOSE me? That is why the PDP government takes education very seriously,” the First Lady said.

Mrs Jonathan had earlier asked Buhari to tell Nigerians what he forgot in the Presidential Villa that he wants to go back for.
